Rangitāiki Tours Booking Terms and Conditions


All prices are in New Zealand currency.

Rangitāiki Tours Limited will confirm your booking once payment in full has been made.

Payment must be made at time of booking. Rangitāiki Tours uses PayPal or Stripe. Please note service and processing fees may apply and will be charged to you.

Full payment by you to Rangitāiki Tours Limited acts as a warranty that you and those included in your booking, meet the experience requirements as advertised on Rangitāiki Tours website.


A lot of effort and energy is invested in arranging memorable experiences for our manuhiri (visitors/guests) once a booking is confirmed. We do understand that cancellations may occur; as such we safeguard ourselves and manuhiri (visitors/guests) with the following cancellation policy:

  1. >14 days prior to the experience date, 90% of the tour price is refunded.
  2. 8-14 days prior to the experience date, 60% of the tour price is refunded.
  3. 1-7 days prior to the experience date, 30% of the tour price is refunded.
  4. 12 hours prior to the experience date, no refund.

All cancellations must be advised in writing.

To safeguard you in the event of having to cancel or change your booking, for anything unexpected, Rangitāiki Tours Limited strongly encourages you to hold a comprehensive travel insurance policy.

If Rangitāiki Tours Limited are unable to provide your experience through our own fault, excluding ‘force majeure’, we will offer the following in order:

  1. Voucher of equivalent value for future use
  2. Refund less 5% administration fees.

‘Force majeure’ is any event which Rangitāiki Tours Limited or our partners could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, fire and all similar events outside our control.


Rangitāiki Tours Limited will endeavor to provide experiences as advertised on our website, but should there be circumstances beyond our control, or legal, health or safety concerns, we reserve the right to modify conditions.

Changes may include but is not limited to, date, number of people or dietary requirements, may occur without charge provided the changes are >14 days of the experience date. Any changes within 14 days of the experience will incur a 10% additional service fee.

Rangitāiki Tours Limited will not modify experiences if you and/or those included in your booking:

  1. Do not show at the start point on time.
  2. Shorten the experience or opt out of tour activities, for any reason.

In such circumstances, no refund will be given.


Rangitāiki Tours Limited accept no responsibility for injury, damage or loss of personal possessions, except where we have legal obligation to do so.

Your booking confirms that you, and those included in your booking, hereby release, waive, discharge, hold blameless and indemnify Rangitāiki Tours Limited and all persons entities and contractors connected to Rangitāiki Tours Limited, from any and all liability for death, disability, physical or mental injury, property damage, theft or loss of personal items and all other foreseeable risks, claims or actions of any kind whatever and however occurring which may arise, at any time, from or in connection with, directly or indirectly, as a consequence or you carrying out an experience, tour, or service with Rangitāiki Tours Limited. You will disclose, at time of booking, any medical details that may adversely affect your and those included in your booking participation. Such medical conditions may include but is not limited to, allergies, asthma, pregnancy, chronic conditions, muscle strain, heart issues, body aches etc.

Health, Safety and Risk

You and those included in your booking agree to abide by Rangitāiki Tours Limited instructions always.

Special dietary requests must be advised at time of booking. Rangitāiki Tours Limited will endeavour to meet special requests, but if we are unable to do so, we will contact you to agree upon alternate arrangements.

Rangitāiki Tours Limited reserves the right to cancel or remove you and/or those included in your booking, from an experience if health, fitness and/or behaviour interfere with other manuhiri (visitor/guest) experience or the general public in any way.

New Zealand Law

The law of this contract is the law of New Zealand.

As manuhiri (visitor/guest) of Rangitāiki Tours Limited you are required to abide by New Zealand law at all times.


Rangitāiki Tours Limited reserves the right to use photographs or videos taken during experiences for promotional purposes. This may include, but is not limited to use online, in printed material or at public events
